About Credit Simul
Our mission
Credit Simul was created to bring clarity and transparency to one of the most consequential financial decisions of everyday life: taking out a loan. Most people will sign a mortgage, a car loan, or a personal loan at some point in their lives, and the cumulative impact of these decisions on personal finances is enormous. Yet the mathematics behind loans — interest compounding, amortization, the trade-off between term and total cost — is rarely taught in school and seldom explained clearly by lenders.
We believe that everyone should be able to understand the financial implications of a loan before signing. Credit Simul provides a free, accurate, and instant calculator that handles all the math behind the scenes, lets you explore alternative scenarios, and shows you the full repayment schedule. No registration. No personal data collection. No financial advice — just the numbers, calculated correctly.
How the calculator works
Credit Simul implements the standard amortization formula used by banks and financial institutions worldwide. This is the same formula that produces the figures on your bank's loan offer, with one key difference: Credit Simul lets you solve for any of the four loan parameters (amount, duration, monthly payment, rate) given the other three. This flexibility is what makes it useful for exploring scenarios, rather than just confirming numbers from a specific offer.
The calculator also handles two important real-world cases that simpler tools often miss: composite rates (interest plus ancillary fees such as insurance) and variable rates with scenario simulation (favorable, neutral, and unfavorable rate trajectories). These features make it suitable for analyzing complex offers rather than just idealized fixed-rate loans.
All calculations happen entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. None of the numbers you enter are sent to our servers or to any third party. You can confirm this by opening your browser's network inspector while using the calculator — there are no outgoing requests with your loan parameters.
Who we are
Credit Simul is operated by WINDY IT HUB LTD, a Cyprus-registered company specializing in financial technology and educational tools. We build consumer-facing applications that make complex topics accessible to non-experts.
The site is available in four languages — English, French, Spanish, and Greek — with the language auto-detected from your browser and country settings on the first visit. You can change your country and language at any time using the picker in the header. The calculator adapts the currency symbol and number formatting to match your region.
Bank news feature
Each country page also displays the most recent news from the relevant central bank — the Bank of England for the UK, the Federal Reserve for the United States, and the European Central Bank for euro-area countries. These news items provide real-time context on the monetary policy environment when you are evaluating loan offers. The news is fetched from official RSS feeds and is not modified or editorialized in any way.
Privacy and data
We take privacy seriously. Credit Simul stores only two pieces of information in
your browser: your country preference (so the calculator opens in your preferred
currency next time) and your cookie consent choice (so the banner is not shown on
every visit). Both are stored in localStorage on your device and never
transmitted to us.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site traffic, but only after you explicitly accept analytics cookies via the consent banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics data is collected. Similarly, Google AdSense advertisements — which fund the site — only activate after consent. You can change your cookie preferences at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

Disclaimer
Credit Simul provides mathematical calculations for educational and informational purposes only. The results do not constitute financial, legal, or tax advice. Real loan offers may include costs and conditions that the calculator does not model (early repayment fees, mandatory insurance, late payment penalties, specific tax treatments). Always consult a qualified financial advisor or your bank before signing any loan agreement. See our Terms of Use for the full disclaimer.
